drygear® RL-D - the maintenance-free worm gear for versatile applications

The drygear® RL-D worm gears from igus are available in various sizes and designs, thus offering a high degree of flexibility for a wide range of applications. A common design feature of all variants is the integrated centre hole, which permits simple cable feed-through and thereby reduces required installation space.

For all drygear® RL-D worm gears, custom-fit motor kits and proximity switch kits are available, which allow for simple integration into existing systems and significantly reduce assembly effort.

Thanks to the worm wheel, which is made of tribologically optimised high-performance plastics, completely lubrication-free dry operation is possible. As a result, the gearboxes are entirely maintenance-free, clean in operation and ideal for applications in which lubricants are not desired or permitted. At the same time, users benefit from high efficiency and a long service life.

All sizes and versions are available for applications with both increased axial and radial load. In addition, the versions can be configured with a one-sided or double-sided turntable at the output, depending on requirements, which allows for flexible adaptation to different design and installation situations.
