More usable space

Open, close and fill in seconds

Thanks to their design, the crossbars can not only be completely removed from the E4.1L, but can also be detached on one side. This means that the crossbars remain attached to one side of the energy chain, cables can be inserted or removed and the energy chain can be closed in a flash.

Cable-friendly plastic crossbars

Smooth, cable-friendly and rounded contours ensure a long service life for the cable and hose. In addition, better and more cable-friendly interior separation can now be achieved with fewer standardised parts.

Noise brake

The principle is simple but highly effective. A wedge-shaped contour in the energy chain stop-dog dampens the impact noise. Noise levels from 33dB(A) possible, 44dB(A) measured with our E4 series. Many series certified by TÜV Rheinland.

Vertical, rectangular stop-dog

More than two stop-dogs cannot or can hardly be synchronised. Due to the rectangular geometry, the force distribution is much better than with a round stop-dog (formula surface pressure, p=F/A). The complete E4.1L product range has the double, rectangular stop-dog. Max. fill weight unsupported up to 600kg/m possible. Max. unsupported length (unsupported with permitted sag) 8.0m (+25% with the optional XXL material)

Vertical stop-dog and large pins

Instead of absorbing force centrally, the force is guided through three points, namely the two stop-dogs and the large pin, by moving the stop-dog. This reduces the load of the individual elements, pins and stop-dog to around 1/3. Push/pull forces of up to 7,000N are possible. Fill weights up to 600kg/m and more possible.

Large pin/bore connection

Tightly toleranced and large pin/bore connections ensure a high push and/or pull force absorption capacity. Due to the tight tolerances and the resulting almost complete zero clearance, maximum acceleration can be achieved and wear is minimised. Travels of over 600m are possible. Accelerations of 10m/s² and more.

Inner/outer link principle

The inner and outer links interlock alternately, ensuring that the energy chain runs particularly straight. This allows the energy chain to move smoothly and at the same time ensures the durability of the product.

Undercut design

An "interlocking" of the chain links ensures very high torsional strength of the energy chain and a long unsupported length, even in side-mounted applications. Fill weights of 7.7kg/m over 2m unsupported.

Few parts, from one material

A small number of parts made from one material, which guarantee the smallest possible clearance, are very important for high acceleration. A uniform material is ideal in the event of material elongation or shrinkage due to temperature differences. Accelerations up to 784m/s², identical materials.

Wear pad

The wear pad on the sides of the E4.1 ensures that this energy chain can withstand heavy-duty use and also has a long service life. Lateral wear pads ensure a long service life. This is an important criterion, especially for side-mounted applications. 10,000km and more running performance guaranteed.

Accessories and extensions

Various extensions make the E4.1L system very flexible and are available from stock. For example, there are **b**rackets for carrying hoses up to Ø 300mm or various noise-dampening options.

Good protection against dirt and swarf up to 850°C

Our energy tubes have been used successfully for almost 20 years to protect against swarf. Dust, dirt, oil, aggressive environments, moisture, cold and heat are no problem for the robust plastic energy supply. The optional HT material allows 850°C hot swarf to simply bounce off - no burning-in possible.

Without pretension

By simply turning the outer links, an energy chain with pretension can be quickly converted into a no camber version. No camber versions are only required for very special applications, e.g. for hanging application and where space is limited.

Openable extender crossbar

The E4.1L can be extended with extender crossbars, which increase the interior space of the energy chain. The crossbars can be assembled in different ways. From one side, from both sides, alternating with normal crossbars and combinations of these options. Suitable for hoses with an outer diameter of up to 137mm.

Prevention of static charging with igumid ESD

The igumid ESD material guarantees long-term, durable and maintenance-free conductivity thanks to the additives it contains. To ensure this, every component in the energy chain must have continuous conductivity.
