New cross section of special cables for the Top Drive
Operational safety in onshore and offshore areas
The chainflex® control cable CFSPECIAL.572.25.37 and motor cable CFSPECIAL.572.40.07 expand the product portfolio of cables for the maritime sector. They have been specially developed and tested for top drive, i.e. for applications on onshore and offshore drilling rigs. This means that igus® now offers nine chainflex cables specifically for top drive applications. These are available from stock and from one metre. Protected by a robust, deep black PUR-outer jacket with aramid support elements, they are MUD-resistant in accordance with NEK 606. In combination with the igus e-loop , this cable series offers the highest level of safety required on drilling rigs. Because when drilling has to be carried out in extreme environments, we are talking about high costs and large investment sums.
