Here [in the gate systems], we can not only lay more cables in the energy chain due to the relatively low mechanical stress, but also reduce the bend radius from a factor of 5 to a factor of 3 in consultation with the igus technicians. And the cables still function perfectly. So far there have been no failures.

The space-saving micro flizz energy supply system is fitted to the top of the driven door leaf.

The energy chain runs in a compact aluminium guide channel. Friction and wear are minimised thanks to the low application of force.

The energy chain is supplied harnessed together with the cable, making assembly much easier.

The micro flizz system: When the energy chain bends in a radius, the side flaps fold flat, allowing the chain to exit the groove and rest freely.

With the micro flizz, the upper and lower run are separated from each other to save weight. The system allows speeds of up to 6m/s in continuous operation.
